プロフィール

神奈川県生まれ。日本語と英語のバイリンガル。

2011年の東日本大震災の際には、米国ABC（American Broadcasting Company）放送に日本のニュース速報を翻訳して提供し、海外向けの情報発信をサポートした。大学時代は番組制作会社でインターンシップを行い、FM YOKOHAMAなどのラジオ現場に携わるほか、コミュニティFMやイベントでの司会も務めた。

 

大学卒業後は大手学習塾にて広告宣伝部門を担当。クリエイティブディレクターとして、コピーライティングや営業企画、広告写真・新聞広告制作などを手がける。

その後、日本語教師を経て、2021年4月に総合企画スタジオ「SHEEPMAN STUDIO」を設立。写真や映像制作、イベント運営を中心に活動し、映画のエンドロールや官公庁関連の映像制作にも携わる。小田急線沿線をテーマにした撮影や写真教室の開催を通して、写真の「奥ゆかしさ」を発信。2024年には小田急電鉄主催、ニコンイメージングジャパン協力の講座「プロカメラマンに学ぶ 小田急の撮り方（入門編）」に講師として登壇し、安全啓発や鉄道写真文化の発展にも寄与している。

写真家としてのモットーは「何気ない日常を切り取る」こと。
祖父の影響で始めた写真は今や生業となり、幼い頃に教わった「構図を考えて撮る」という言葉を今も胸に刻む。

長年乗り続けてきた小田急線、そして京都・新京極商店街は、自身の創作の原点であり、特別な被写体である。2025年には約10年ぶりに渡米し、ニューヨークの街を新たなテーマとして作品制作を行っている。

米軍基地のある街で育った経験から、アメリカは自身にとって「第二の母国」と感じている。

大学では言語学と異文化コミュニケーションを専攻し、大学院では村上春樹作品の翻訳比較を日本語・英語・韓国語で研究。現在は写真家／クリエイターとして活動する傍ら、異文化コミュニケーション学会（SIETAR JAPAN）のICT委員長を務めている。

Profile & Highlights

 

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, and bilingual in Japanese and English, the United States is considered his "second home," having grown up in a town with a U.S. military base.

Following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, he supported the overseas dissemination of information by translating Japanese news bulletins for the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) in the United States.

His motto as a photographer is “capturing the beauty in everyday life.” Inspired by his grandfather, he started photography at a young age, adhering to the principle of a composition-first approach in his work. The Odakyu Line, which he has traveled since childhood, and Kyoto’s Shinkyogoku Shopping Street are his creative origins and hold special significance as subjects of his photography. In 2025, he returned to the U.S. after about ten years, discovering New York City as a new subject.

Professional Experience

 

Founder, SHEEPMAN STUDIO (April 2021 – Present) Founded a comprehensive planning studio managing photography, video production, and event operations. Contributed to movie end credits, government-related video productions, and other projects.

Japanese Language Teacher Worked as a Japanese language teacher, applying his skills in linguistics and intercultural communication.

Creative Director & Advertising Specialist

Joined a major cram school, working in the advertising and promotion department. As a Creative Director, he was involved in copywriting, sales planning, advertising photography, and newspaper advertisement production.

Media & Broadcasting Experience Gained experience at FM YOKOHAMA and other radio stations through a television production company internship while at university. Also worked as an MC for community FM programs and various events.

Railway Photography & Cultural Contribution

 

Through photography and workshops themed around the Odakyu Line, he promotes the subtle beauty of photography and raises awareness of safety and railway photography culture.

• In 2024, he served as an instructor for the workshop “Learn How to Photograph the Odakyu Line from a Professional Photographer (Beginner Edition)”, hosted by Odakyu Electric Railway and supported by Nikon Imaging Japan.
